"When people ask if I read fine literature I tell them yea I read'"

Hey there, hi there, ho there!  Welcome to tinkerkait.  I'm Kaitlyn, and this is my little corner of the Disney blogosphere!

I love two things: writing and Walt Disney World Resort.  So I've combined those two passions into one compact little corner of the internet... that would be here!  Thanks for being here, I really appreciate it.  I hope this blog will be a little mosh of disney parks advice/opinions and small shop reviewsI launched on August 5, 2018 to share my experiences and spread positivity within the Disney Parks fan community.

Here's a little more about me and where I'm from:  I grew up in north Jersey with my family, and I was 5 years old when I saw the Walt Disney World gates for the first time.  Since then, we've taken 6 Disney Resort vacations together.  Our next trip is coming up in August 2019.  It'll be our first vacation as Disney Vacation Club Owners and Annual Passholders.  We're all goofy, crazy Disney World fanatics who sit together and watch TheTimTracker's latest video every day.

I had always loved the parks, but my love for Walt Disney World grew so rapidly between my junior year of high school and my freshman year of college that I knew one thing for certain by the time I applied to the Disney College Program: A little piece of me would always be in Orlando.  I'm a proud alumn of the Fall 2016 program!  I was a Fantasyland attractions hostess who lived in Vista Way.  It was tough, but I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to share my experiences here on tinkerkait!

I have an old blog where I documented my DCP journey.  You can find that here--

I met a lot of friends during my DCP, and I worked on ANOTHER writing project with some!  You can find that here--

For the 51 weeks out of the year I'm unfortunately not in Walt Disney World, you can find me living my best life in NYC.  I like to spend time with my best friend, do philanthropy work with my sorority, and above all: see theatre.  I have a background in Musical Theatre, and I've seen over 60 different Broadway shows in my life!  Personal favorites include Newsies, A Bronx Tale, Mean Girls, Hello, Dolly!, and The Cher Show.  My other interests include Riverdale, sweet iced tea, RuPaul's Drag Race, and retail therapy.  Oh-- and if I'm ever not here, you can reach out to me on my dinsta.  It's @tinkerkait!

We've covered pretty much everything you need to know, so thanks for reading and seriously: thanks again for being here.  I can't wait to get to know you.
